The “Komorebi” lighting series has been selected as an Award Winner of the 2025 Japan Cultural Promotion Project, recognizing its refined expression of Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary spatial design.
The series features two distinctive lamps: HANAYAGI Inner Lamp and SAYAKA.
HANAYAGI Inner Lamp incorporates Ise Katagami patterns inspired by the “Flowers of the Four Seasons” as its inner shade, while the outer shade is crafted from mosaic-patterned washi paper. The layered structure creates a gentle depth of light, allowing traditional patterns to softly emerge through illumination.
SAYAKA features a mosaic-patterned washi shade that filters light with subtlety and warmth. Made with traditional Japanese paper, the lamp evokes the feeling of komorebi—sunlight filtering through trees—bringing calm and natural rhythm into the space.
By combining ISEKATAGAMI, Echizen washi, and careful handcraftsmanship, the Komorebi series reinterprets traditional materials for modern living. Through light, texture, and shadow, it offers a quiet yet profound expression of Japanese aesthetics, suitable for both private and public spaces.
